October marks the end of the baseball regular season. By November, the Fall Classic wraps up. This year the Chicago Cubs are representing the National League while the Cleveland Indians are representing the American League. Each team has had an exciting road to make it this far.

The Cubs were able to make it to the World Series thanks to a record breaking season. It is there first time making an appearance at the World Series since 1945, when they were defeated by the Detroit Tigers. The Cubs finished with the best record in the Major League. Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks, who owns of an MLB-best 2.13 ERA, is expected to play a large role. The Cubs also have Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo who bring energy to the locker room and dugout thanks to their youth.

The Cleveland Indians are also attempting to make history of their own. For the Indians, this is their first postseason appearance since 1997, and they hope to clinch the title for the first time since 1948, where they defeated the then Boston Braves. The Indians are being lead by an exceptional pitching staff, particularly Andrew Miller and Corey Kluber. Miller was deemed the ALCS MVP thanks to his 21 strikeouts in 11 2/3 postseason innings this year and having allowed just five hits and zero runs.

Do not miss this exciting showdown of two deserving teams. Fans of both teams are exceptionally excited because it has been so long since their teams have had this opportunity. Matt Bell (12) stated “I will be watching this series closely. I think it will be exciting because it has been so long since either team has captured the title, but I am rooting for the Chicago Cubs.” Here is the schedule of the 112th edition of the World Series courtesy of Sporting News:
