Gift cards are the perfect gift to give someone who you are not that close to or simply someone who can be picky. By giving gift cards, it gives the person the option to choose what they want. Additionally, it is a very easy purchase that makes shift shopping more efficient.

• Makeup

For many, makeup is the perfect gift to receive, as it is usually viral products they wanted to try out but didn’t find necessary to purchase without a reason. Many stores like Ulta and Sephora have sales and mini bundles, which makes shopping easy. 

• Household Essentials

Household essentials are always good gifts to buy for your parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Not only are they relatively easy to find, but have a vast amount of options. From candles to blankets and kitchen aids to coffee beans, the options are endless. 

Overall, there are many broad groups of items to choose from when gift shopping. The most helpful thing is to simply ask, and then narrow it down. When asking for gifts, Joyce Yang (10) gave a good reminder that “I think a lot of people ask for things they saw on TikTok and only use it once, so I think it’s important to consider if it’s something you actually want or just trendy.” The online world is very fast paced; therefore, many trends are constantly forming. Sometimes items aren’t needs or even wants, but rather are just a trend, and when asking for gifts it is important to steer away from that. The last thing the gift giver or receiver wants is for the gift to be used twice and then forgotten. However, there are specific trendy items that can be great gifts.
