’15 September Favorites

Vanessa Le, Photojournalist

As days are strolling by and we are managing our busy lives, we are bound to find our favorite things at a specific moment in time; we might find a favorite type of food or a favorite song. I, Vanessa Le, am starting a new column featuring the student body’s monthly favorites. The purpose of this new column is for you guys to keep an open mind and try out new things that you may even like! So without further ado, let’s get started:

Favorite Food (Snacks, restaurants, etc.):

Kailyn Case (11): “My favorite snack is vanilla Greek yogurt because it’s healthy and keeps my brain going for school.”

Favorite Fashion Item:

Gabriela Sanchez (12): “I really liked big jackets in the month of September. Denim jackets are cute and big leather jackets with thinner sweaters layered under them are cute too!”

Favorite Beauty Product:

Catherine Baugh (12): “I’ve been using and loving the Estée Lauder foundation, because it’s light and stays on all day. It looks really natural.”

Favorite Book:

Katlyn Ramos (12): “My favorite book during September was The Selection by Kiera Cass because it deals with a futuristic world, where a girl befriends a boy far above her class. I loved reading this because it was so relatable to the many connections and relationships that are made with the start of school.”

Favorite Song:

Max Ferguson (12): “My favorite song was Do I Wanna Know? by the Arctic Monkeys. I’ve been listening to them since before they got big, and I’ve always loved them! There entire AM album is gold!”

Favorite TV Show:

Derick Ma (10): “So far for tv shows, I’ve been watching Scream Queens. I’m a huge fan of American Horror Story as well as some other horror stuff, and I love sorority movies and stuff like Legally Blonde. When you put the two together plus Ariana Grande, you get Scream Queens!”

Favorite Movie:

Aidan Azarrafiy (9): “My favorite movie was The Hurt Locker because the acting is great and it displays the reality of war.”

I hope reading this will help inspire you guys and boost your confidence to discover new things to try out (maybe even try out the things that these lovely students liked during the month of September!
