The Lady Mustangs faced off against Huntington Beach, but unfortunately lost 9-17. However, they showed remarkable efforts and teamwork on the field. Sora Choi (12) and Jessica Lee (11) have unmatched energy while playing together. They have been teammates for quite some time and have helped lead their team.

Giana Mejia is a junior at Yorba Linda High School. She is an editor for our newspaper team, The Wrangler. When Giana is not in school, she is playing basketball. She is on the Yorba Linda Women’s Basketball Team and the Cal Sparks 17U Select Team. Giana is a student-athlete, maintaining a good GPA on top of all her extracurriculars. This year, she is taking 5 AP classes and a college course. Her favorite subject is science, and she wants to major in biology. She enjoys listening to music, especially Taylor Swift and Zach Bryan. Giana is looking forward to entering the new school year as a junior.
