With the end of the school year quickly approaching, students and teachers are ready to enjoy a relaxing and well deserved summer vacation. For Seniors it will be a meaningful summer. They are forced to transition into adulthood, but often utilize this last summer to fully live out their childhood. In order to commemorate the end of high school, many seniors partake in the idea of taking a senior trip with close friends or family. Since summer is right around the corner, here are some ideas for an amazing senior trip to end high school with unique memories:

  • Take a Cruise: There is a large range of cruise options and destinations. They are a popular choice because cruise ships are a safe and reliable way to travel. Cruise goers do not have to worry about meals because most are offered on the ship so it allows for easy planning. The only downside to a trip at sea is it can be extremely expensive.
  • Rent a house: Whether it is at the beach or in the mountains, it is always enjoyable to rent a house for a vacation. This allows for a larger group to sleep comfortably and have the ability to come and go as they please. It can be enjoyable to try restaurants around the town or test each other’s cooking skills.
  • Take a road trip: The destinations to to visit are endless. It is easy to hop in the car and go. Road trips allow for flexibility because travelers can stop whenever they would like to. America is full of many national parks and unique cities to visit. Everyone will be able to find something they enjoy on a road trip. The only drawback to this is it can be expensive between gas, hotels, and food.

There is a large range of options for seniors for an awesome senior trip. Maggie Shi (12) said, “My friends and I have not yet planned a senior trip. I know I definitely want to go on one! I do not care if it is just a weekend trip because I know wherever I go with my friends, we will have a great time before we part our separate ways for college.” It is not too late to plan a senior trip with family or friends! If a trip it not possible, there are many cool places in Southern California to drive to to spend the day visiting. Bon Voyage!
