Melody Saba (12) is a YLHS student who goes above and beyond everyone’s expectations. With the amazing passion in everything she does and her strong, yet kind-hearted personality, Melody can truly accomplish anything she wants to do. During her high school career she has accomplished plenty and although it has been very stressful, being the person she is, Melody can take on anything and everything that comes her way.

Melody is one of the brightest students in the senior class. She is a straight A student, and is taking a very difficult AP classes trying to trump senioritis this year. Last semester, she excelled in AP Environmental Science, AP Literature and all of her other AP and Honors classes. Her workload is very heavy considering the year is coming to a close and swim and water polo take up plenty of her time, but she puts her mind to what she needs to do and gets it done. Melody’s drive to do well in everything has kept her with impressive grades and an impressive GPA.

Along with her academic excellence, Melody is also involved in many extracurricular classes and activities. For one, Melody has been a star athlete during her high school career. She has been a key player on both the water polo and swim team since her junior year and has improved greatly while leading her team to many victories. Melody was named MVP of her team last year and plans to continue to be one this year.

When she’s not busy with school, swim, or water polo, Melody takes pleasure in shopping, hanging out with friends and family or just kicking back and watching a good movie. She is also a phenomenal artist and tries to paint to de-stress when she has free time.

In the future, Melody aims to attend the University of California at Berkeley and study architecture because that has always been her dream. Melody Saba is an outstanding student, devoted friend, outstanding athlete, charitable citizen, and so much more. She is prepared and excited for her life after YLHS and plans to keep up her drive to work hard and make her dreams come true.
