Commencing ten years ago with only six people, YLHS’s The Wrangler has grown extensively. The Wrangler began publishing online in 2014 and continues to publish articles daily about a myriad of topics ranging from high school happenings to local, national, and global events. Its staff is comprised of almost thirty students and is advised under Mrs. Shay. The Wrangler is a rising SNO website and has been awarded the Best of SNO badge with eight articles published with this honor as well as the Site Excellence badge for its visual display. Among over 3,000 articles, The Wrangler also proudly presents “The Haystack,” a podcast established in 2021 which features students and teachers from YLHS. Despite these new features, however, The Wrangler maintains and upholds its focus on quality journalism while working towards its ultimate purpose: to serve as YLHS’s #1 news source.
