Fall Playlist Must Haves

A collection of vinyl records filled with songs that could be on your fall playlist.

As the weather cools down and you start to pull out your fuzzy blankets, nothing is more comforting than music. Although it is not quite soon to start playing Christmas music, these five songs are a must when creating your fall playlist. Mellow, yet still upbeat, these songs encapsulate the fall season.

First off, we have “No Idea” by Don Toliver. Mellow with a catchy beat, this song brings back memories from when it was trending in 2020. Although the trend was a while ago, the melody and lyrics of the song still stick today. If you are a rap or R&B lover, I definitely suggest you add this to your playlist.

Secondly, we have “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer. Starting out with a soothing guitar rhythm, it gives the relaxing feel of the fall season. Faith Alam (11) shares, “People should add it to their playlist since the song screams fall and helps people get into the fall mood.” If you are interested in pop rock, this song is perfect for you.

Next up, we have “Sweater Weather” by The Neighborhood. The title explains everything this song is about: not yet winter, but definitely sweater weather. This song is the epitome of fall. Along with other songs, this song is on the more relaxing side and should 100% be on this season’s playlist.

Another song that screams autumn is a rap song called “November” by Tyler, the Creator. With the song title literally being a month in the fall season, it is a pretty mellow rap that digs deep with its fast lyrics. It uses the month November as a metaphor, relating the month to being something, someone, or some time in your life that you hold dear in your heart. If you’re a hip-hop lover, then this song is a playlist staple for this season.

Last but not least, we have “Dark Red” by Steve Lacy. Like the title, dark red is a color associated with fall. With a popular known intro and steady tempo, this song sums up the fall vibe. If you are looking for a mellow R&B song, this is the one for you.

People should add it to their playlist since the song screams fall and helps people get into the fall mood.

— Faith Alam (11)

Whether you are into rap or indie music, there’s nothing like creating a playlist that sets you into the fall mood. With these music suggestions, your fall playlist should be top tier this year. Now sit back, relax, and soak up the fall vibe and lyrics with this playlist.
