Dylan O’Brian, wow, how handsome…perfection. Dylan has just starred in a new movie, where he plays a character named Thomas. Maze Runner: Scorch Trials is a new movie made by Wes Ball but was originally a book series by James Dashner.  This sequel was released on September 18, 2015. In this movie the characters have escaped the maze from the first movie but have now been moved to new challenges, where the setting just so happens to be the ruins of our world today.

When most books are created into motion pictures, readers and fans most often find the books to be better than the movie. However, Nate Yi (10) expresses, “I felt that the second Maze Runner was better than the first one considering the first one was a bit of an introductory movie.” This goes to show that in this series the action and intensity of this movie is growing as they develop more plot throughout the films. As Nate enjoyed the film he found it slightly confusing at time because of the amount of action packed into it.

Another surprise, since most would assume the answer to be Dylan O’Brian, who is loved for his various other roles and good looks, would be the favorite character of the movie. On the contrary, Lindsey Liu (10),”Minho is my favorite, I felt he was portrayed great (by his actor) because it showed him being fearless and selfless to save his friends.” Nate, agreeing with Lindsey, “was happy he was portrayed as a strong center point that helped keep the team together.” Both are excited to see the next movie.

Rumor has it that based off of book three in the series, The Death Cure, the will be another movie to make this series a movie trilogy. The Death Cure is set to be released in February 2017. For those who are in love with the series, it will be 2 long agonizing years. In this movie, Thomas, played by Dylan O’Brian, will venture to find a cure to for a deadly disease called the “flare.” Nate and Lindsey recommend you see this movie in theaters so you can experience the full action.
