Yorba Linda has seen a rapid increase in the planning of new developments, whether it be Tokyo Central in 2018, Yorba Linda Town Center in 2019, the new Yorba Linda Library in 2020, or the In-N-Out in 2021.

Since the ease of Coronavirus restrictions, these local businesses have recovered due to the help of loyal communities. The city is also going to see business openings and reopenings in the coming weeks affecting long term population growth, increased traffic, and exciting new job opportunities.

One business that saw a grand reopening is Cynful Lashes and Aesthetics, established and owned by Cyndi Violi. Last week, the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce held a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony for the small (but glamorous!) business. In order to have an optimal commencement celebration, businesses that are a part of the Chamber are advised to schedule at least a month in advance. This is a great way to connect the community and support family-owned shops.

Ryane Oye who is an Office Administrator for the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce explains that it takes a “lot of planning and behind the scenes coordination” to perform ribbon-cuttings, but that “it is very rewarding to be able to highlight local businesses.”

Student in the Mustang Business Academy (MBA)’s Business Management and Technology Class, Camile Khong (12), says “it’s amazing to see our town grow with these new businesses. I remember eagerly waiting just to see the town center pop up. With this new growth, I love to see the opening of small, family-owned businesses.

Here are three businesses that will be opening soon:

Denny’s

There is going to be a Denny’s in the Valley View shopping center on Yorba Linda Boulevard, next to Yogurtland, See’s Candies, Starbucks, and Sprouts. In fact, they are currently hiring! Visit this website for more information.

According to What Now Orange County, “the international diner chain, which currently operates around 1,700 locations, actually began right here in Southern California. The very first Denny’s opened just over in Lakewood, all the way back in 1956 and they’ve been going strong ever since.”

This location of Denny’s is returning to its roots— less than 30 minutes away from its birthplace.

Dr. Shadi Concierge MedSpa

On March 23, Dr. Shadi Concierge MedSpa will have a grand opening and ribbon cutting at their location inside Sola Salon Suites at Eastlake Village Shopping Center!

Founded by former Pediatric Oncologist Dr. Shadi Kranitz, this business offers “medical-grade therapies,” perfect as a gift for a family member who needs some TLC.

Patrons will be left feeling pampered and rejuvenated after receiving safe and high-quality aesthetic treatments.

Target

A Target will also be joining the Valley View shopping center, so expect a significant increase in the amount of traffic in the area! Those interested in working for the omnipresent company can apply at this website

This location will be the 1949th Target store in the United States, replacing the Orchard Supply Hardware store that came before it. The OC Register mentions that it will open “by early April.”

Over the years, the addition of many businesses has changed this city, and it is exciting to consider the aspects of a thriving economy. Our local economy is booming—keep up the great work Yorba Linda!
