When a new season comes around, that means new clothes and new trends. Constantly trends are changing with the influence of the media and influencers creating new ideas in fashion. This year, people are eagerly waiting for spring to come due to all the trends that are already circulating social media. Here are a few trends to your 2025 Spring inspo!

As many websites such as the infamous Vogue are saying, this is the spring of pastel colors. Whether it be a light pink or yellow butter, these colors lighten up every outfit. Adding a colored accessory such as a bag or glasses helps to elevate a bland outfit. While neutral colors are a good basic, it is time to change things up. Similarly, with the next trend, electric blue! A bright blue staple is a fun way to incorporate something new in an outfit, such as a blue sweater to stay warm or a blue bathing suit to soak up the sun. Finally, another bold clothing piece that will be all over during Spring will be sequins. As already seen on many clothing stores, sequin skirts are all the craze for the perfect spring break outfit. 

Moving on from these bold fashion pieces, there are some more classics that never go out of style. Suede is a fabric which elevates an outfit into something more sophisticated. Whether it be a suede bag or suede coat, the outfit becomes classy and even formal. Other ways to elevate an ordinary outfit is by wearing kitten heels. Kitten heels can be dressed up or down. Wearing them with a pair of jeans takes a casual outfit to become a stylish and refined outfit. Finally, another fashion trend which has been trending for decades is animal print. Animal print has never gone out of style, and recently it has been a boom, especially cheetah print. It is seen everywhere, from jeans to phone cases, animal print is taking over. A fashionable junior at YLHS, Olivia Liu (11)  who expresses her love of fashion in her brand creation class, shares, “I think that oversized clothing will be popular after years of tight clothing being so trendy.”
