The new Yorba Linda public library truly is a great place to study and relax.

With the end of the year and finals coming up it can be hard to find the motivation to study. Personally, I struggle with this a lot, but I’ve found that a new study environment helps me a lot. In this article, I will recommend the top four local study spots I’ve found.

  1. The Yorba Linda Public Library

The Yorba Linda Library is definitely one of my favorite local spots to study. The library is brand new and the energy there is so good. There are many different types of places to study- from desks to couches and in between. Additionally, if you plan ahead you can book a private room that has a capacity from 2 to 6 people for up to 2 hours. The library is very close to the school, making it very convenient, and its location next to the Yorba Linda Town Center makes it easy to get food before and after studying (I love to use matcha from Peet’s as motivation). The library is open from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday.

  1. Bhodi Leaf Coffee Traders

Bhodi Leaf is another local favorite that is very close to Yorba Linda High School. They have one of my favorite coffees ever. They roast their beans in-house, and they are hand-picked. The quality of this sport is genuinely unmatched, and they also have a good selection of foods and pastries. The place has many different tables and is very accommodating to people who want to hang out and study. It’s open from 6:30 am to 6 pm.

  1. Peet’s Coffee

Peet’s is in the Yorba Linda Town Center and across the street from the public library. They have one of my favorite matchas and have a variety of different seating options both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, they have a large table that is great for studying with friends and optimal outlets. Another advantage of Peet’s is that it is close to a lot of very good food places such as Habit, Seasurf, and Blaze Pizza; this is perfect if you need a boost while studying or even a change of scenery. It’s open from 5;30 am to 5;30 pm on weekdays and 6 am to 6 pm on weekends.

  1. The Beach

I believe that the beach is the most underrated place to study. If you go on the weekdays, it is not busy and actually very peaceful. When studying at the beach, I would recommend bringing a blanket or towel to sit on, and plenty of refreshments. The gorgeous natural and secluded vibe makes it the perfect place to relax and focus on what you need to.

I asked a YLHS junior Hannah Jebelli what her favorite spot to study was and she replied with “The YLPL is my favorite because of how easy it is to focus there.”
