YLHS Football Faces San Jacinto

The Yorba Linda Mustangs battled against San Jacinto last Thursday (9/5). They faced a talented team, leading to a close game that came down to the very last play. The team played through almost 100° weather, showing grit and resilience. Unfortunately, the Mustangs lost 16-19 at home, making them 2-1 in the season.

Here are some interviews featuring Onassis Lim (11), Jojo Brazelton (12), Cole Nerio (12), and Jordan Laws (12). This team is filled with energy and potential. It will be very exciting to see how they face up against Charter Oak on Friday.

Giana Mejia, Editor-In-Chief

Giana Mejia is a senior at Yorba Linda High School. This will be her third year in the program but her first year as editor-in-chief. She loves any sport, but her favorite is definitely basketball. For her senior year, she hopes to make many memories and meet new people. Giana is very excited to be part of The Wrangler and work with everyone!

Journey Mou, Editor

Journey Mou is a junior at Yorba Linda High School. This will be her third year in newspaper, and she was promoted to editor. She is also on the school’s women’s basketball and lacrosse teams. Outside of school, Journey enjoys the art of trying to draw and listening to music. Though she doesn’t know what the future will bring, Journey is excited for whatever comes her way.

Chloe Chang, Editor

Chloe Chang is a senior at YLHS; as she heads into her second year in the newspaper, she is excited to be an editor and help plan the post-game press conferences. She is currently a part of the YLHS Women’s Varsity Basketball team. In her free time, she likes to work out, hang out with friends, and go to the beach. Besides newspaper and basketball, she is a part of PTSA, Link Crew, and President of CALL Club. She is excited to enter her last year of high school and make many more memories with friends.

Emma Perron, Editor-In-Chief

Emma Perron is a senior at Yorba Linda High School. This will be Emma’s fourth year writing for The Wrangler, and she is one of three Editor-In-Chiefs. She is either at school or the soccer field; she is always busy. Emma is the Editor-In-Chief for the yearbook, The Roundup, and on the Yorba Linda High School Women’s Soccer Varsity team. She loves photography, writing, socializing, playing soccer, watching various sports, and listening to/collecting vinyl. In the future, Emma hopes to attend college in Utah and study Communications with a minor in photography. She is excited for her senior year and what the future holds.
