This fall, our Mustang Theatre Company is back again with its exciting upcoming show, “Front”! Be ready to watch in amazement as our talented theatrical friends put on their next great performance following its most recent musical, “Into the Woods.”
“Front” is a play about the effects of Englanders after The Blitz, a German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom. The story follows several different characters and their lives throughout this time period. Some of the topics discussed in the show include: women’s effects after the war, the downfall of the economy during The Blitz, destroyed infrastructure and houses due to constant bombing, and the amount of deaths as a result of Germany’s bomb dropping. The show demonstrates many different aspects of love, family, and loss. It will be sure to bring you on a journey to the past while providing just the right amount of drama, emotion, and a history lesson! “Front” illustrates the lives of people under tragic circumstances and demonstrates how they were affected.
The cast of “Front” is so excited for audiences to see what they have been spending hours rehearsing and setting up each day for the last few weeks. Katie Ruoo (11) is one of the leads of the upcoming show and plays Judith, a young girl. Katie has shared that she is “most excited for audiences to see the character arcs throughout the show and how impactful this historical event was.” She feels that, “the best part of being in the show has been the cast and overall experience. I have so much fun with them, and I always look forward to going to rehearsals!”
Katie believes that, “Front is a phenomenal show that has taken so much emotional effort from the cast in order to produce an amazing end result.” Those who are a part of Mustang Theatre Company have never failed to bring an authentic charm to each of our school’s productions and their attention to detail in every show they do is worth notice. I am overjoyed to go see “Front” myself since our theatre company has always surpassed my expectations as an audience member.
Be sure to mark your calendars to go watch “Front” in the Forum Theatre. Tickets can be purchased both online and at the door. You will not want to miss this extraordinary show on opening night, November 10th!
