Summer Movie Preview 2016

“There are always many great movies to watch during summer break,” said Marie Bae (12), “I am super excited to watch upcoming summer movies with my family and friends.”

 

Mustangs, summer is just around the corner! It’s time to take a look at the biggest and best upcoming film releases of summer 2016 that you can’t miss!

 

1. The Conjuring 2 (Friday, June 10th)

James Wan, the creator of Insidious and Saw, is back with another horrific true story illustrated in The Conjuring 2. The movie told the story of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) who goes to England to investigate and stop the poltergeist activity.

 

2. Central Intelligence (Friday, June 17th)

After reuniting with his old friend Calvin (Kevin Hart) , Bob (Dwayne Johnson) lures Calvin to become his assistant and be part of a major CIA mission.

 

3. Finding Dory (Friday, June 17th)

Pixar is back again with Finding Dory which is the upcoming sequel to Finding Nemo. It’s Dory (Ellen Degeneres) who goes missing this time. Will Nemo (Hayden Rolence) and Marlin (Albert Brooks) be able to find Dory?

 

4. Independence Day: Resurgence (Friday, June 24th)

The aliens are coming back in Independence Day with their advanced and unprecedented force. Only former President Whitmore (Bill Pullman) and scientist David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) can fight the aliens back. This movie stars Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, and Vivica A. Fox.

 

5. The Legend of Tarzan (Friday, July 1st)

Lord Greystoke, a former Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård), has been living a normal life with Jane (Margot Robbie) in England. Now, he has been invited back to the jungle to serve as an investigator of mining encampment activities.

 

6.The Purge: Election Year (Friday, July 1st)

In this movie, a third installment in The Purge series, the hero is working secretly for a presidential candidate who wants to stop The Purge. This film stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Mykelti Williamson, and Frank Grillo.

 

7. The Secret Life of Pets (Friday, July 8th)

Similar to Toy Story, The Secret Life of Pets features what our pets really do when we are not home.

 

8. Ice Age: Collision Course (Friday, July 22nd)

Diego, Manny, Sid, and Ellie are forced to leave and meet all new prehistoric characters throughout their journey.

 

9. Star Trek Beyond (Friday, July 22nd)

Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), and the rest of the Enterprise crew members have to defeat an alien threat.

 

10. Bad Moms (Friday, July 29th)

Stressed-out mothers (Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, and Kathryn Hahn) take a weekend off to get some freedom from daily life and typical mom duties.
