Thank You, Teachers!
PTSA Student Leadership will be honoring teacher’s with the annual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Breakfast!
April 30, 2015
Every year, PTSA Student Leadership hosts an annual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Breakfast to celebrate the hard work that our teachers put in. This year, the breakfast will be held on May 4th, in the teacher’s lounge.
PTSA Student Leadership welcomes all teachers and staff to enjoy a morning just for them. As with tradition, there will be the French Toast Casserole that has become a trademark of this breakfast. This year, PTSA Student Leadership will also be serving bacon, eggs, pancakes, bagels, muffins, donuts, fruits, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc.
Throughout the whole school year, PTSA Student Leadership has been making treats for teachers to enjoy as a way to thank them for everything they have done. Liz Tipping (12) , the Vice President of Hospitality has been leading the making of these treats along with different teams. Liz believes, “It’s a great way to give a little back to the teachers that put in so much work and effort for their students. “
This year’s PTSA Teach and Staff Appreciation Breakfast will be led by Liz Tipping, Kayla Amini (11) and Stephanie Zhang (11).
Breakfast will be served from 7:15-8:25 am. Please come and enjoy teachers and staff!
Teacher Appreciation is one of the best ways to give back to the teachers on our campus. These men and women have put in their effort and time in order to push us into the best we can be.
Liz’s favorite teacher is Ms. Fritz, one of the art teachers on campus. “She’s my favorite because I love art and she’s made me improve myself and taught me how to be my best.”
Other teachers are also celebrated on campus, here are just a few:
“My favorite teacher is Mr. Peacock. I’ve had him for two years and he’s a great teacher and he’s really nice,” said Kiana Tomeo (12).
Nick Bui (12) really enjoyed Ms. Tully’s APUSH class. “She’s the only teacher that made me truly enjoy a subject and actually want to learn it.”
However, the APUSH rivalry is strong, and some, like Joey Angel (12), cite Mr. Walls as their favorite. “I really love Mr. Walls, Mr. Cadra and Mrs. Ward, but there are also a lot of great teachers on campus.”
Aleeha Kalam (11), has enjoyed Mr. Herrick, Mr. Shanahan, and Ms. Dagampat’s classes.
“Even though he’s a new teacher on campus, I really like Mr. Linebarger’s class,” said Matt Sung (12). “I feel like he really understands AP Physics and he explains his lessons really well.”
There are many other great teachers on campus. The list would be endless of the amazing teachers and why each student likes the particular teacher.
Students, remember to thank your teachers for all the hard work that they have done for you! Teacher Appreciation week starts on May 4th!
And teachers, remember to come out and enjoy the breakfast hosted by PTSA Student Leadership.
