It’s that time of year again when the leaves turn color, the air gets crisp, and all the fall foods return to shelves and menus. Fall is the season of pumpkin flavor, earthy spices, and cozy treats that will warm you up from the inside out. To make the most of this season, here are my all-time favorite places to get fall foods that will give you the ultimate cozy autumn experience.
The first location is one of my favorites and is the best spot to get freshly made fall treats. Located in Oak Glen, California, Snow-Line Orchard is the perfect place for autumn vibes. It is a family-owned apple farm, winery, and cidery. For a reasonable price, they offer various fall goods, but the most popular item is their mini apple cider donuts. These donuts are made fresh to order and have a subtle apple flavor that’s enhanced by spices, such as cinnamon. To go along with the donuts, there is also a variety of cider to choose from. The orchard provides hot or cold apple cider, cider slushies, or apple cider floats. If you are not a fan of donuts and cider, they also have delicious pies, pickles, hot chocolate, and coffees to choose from. As a bonus, they also have apple picking where you can pick over 36 kinds of apples.
The next location is a popular spot and has many fall goods to choose from. Trader Joe’s seasonal treats are perfect for capturing the essence of fall. They bring in a wide range of pumpkin, maple, and apple-flavored items that satisfy customers’ cravings during this time. From baked goods like pumpkin brioche twist, to frozen treats like maple ice cream, there’s something for everyone. All for a reasonable and affordable price, Trader Joe’s fall products include baked goods, desserts, chips, mac and cheese, pastries, coffee, tea, yogurt, etc. Their sweet treats are a major highlight, including pumpkin spice cookies, apple pies, and pumpkin blondie brownies. These limited-time items capture the warm and rich flavors of fall and are a go-to destination for fall foods.
The last location can be found everywhere and their fall menu is highly anticipated every year. The fall menu at Starbucks is beloved by many and draws in many fans for its cozy and warm flavors. Since its debut in 2003, the Pumpkin Spice Latte continues to be the most popular seasonal beverage by customers. This drink combines Starbucks’ signature espresso, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove flavors. Alongside this beverage, the fall menu also contains drinks such as the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. In addition, the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai is a favorite of many including Ava Bruckner (10), who describes the drink as “sweet and cinnamony” and “has the right amount of pumpkin flavor, which is perfect for sweater weather.” However, the menu doesn’t just include drinks, but seasonal foods as well. Seasonal pastries like the Raccoon Cake Pop, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and Pumpkin Loaf make an exciting return for those who enjoy it. These treats complement the fall-inspired drinks and are paired together perfectly.
From visiting a family-owned orchard for fresh donuts, exploring seasonal aisles at Trader Joe’s, or stopping by Starbucks for a cozy drink, these fall favorites make the season feel extra special. Each location offers its take on autumn flavors and captures the essence of fall in every sip or bite. These locations will get you in the mood for autumn and are the best spots to get food during this season.
