In the vast and competitive world of fashion and footwear, Adidas made its remarkable comeback at the start of the year, setting a standard within the industry. Once overshadowed by its rivals, Adidas has regained its position and has now outshined the majority of its main competitors including Vans, Converse, and New Balance. It is now commonly used as a trendy fashion staple in everyday life, suitable for any gender and age.
Several different styles of Adidas have seen an upturn in popularity, becoming a renowned classic in the fashion industry. For instance, the Adidas Samba, Gazelle, Campus, and Superstar are a few of the many styles that have redesigned people’s wardrobes. Most of these styles were originally created as soccer and basketball training shoes, but have now become a fashion staple in any approach. Whether it be on the court, at school, or during leisure time, Adidas can be worn in any setting with any desirable look.
But how has Adidas made such a strong comeback after almost disappearing from the market? 2016 was a successful era for this brand when it partnered with rapper Kanye West, influencing America’s young adults. Yet after a year of West’s promotion, Adidas seemed to fade away in the footwear industry. Adidas regained the public’s attention about a year ago when supermodel Bella Hadid and her sister Gigi Hadid were photographed wearing Sambas. Artist Harry Styles joined them during his tour in October of last year. It is safe to say that these three public figures have had a remarkable impact on Adidas’ resurgence in popularity.
Adidas has made a strong appearance here at YLHS, becoming a go-to choice for students on campus. If you look around any classroom or hallway, you will quickly notice the dominance this sneaker now has in everyday fashion. They complement almost any outfit, whether they be paired with a pair of jeans, sweatpants, shorts, skirts, and much more. These shoes are also seen in almost every color, ranging from, black, white, blue, red, pink, green, brown, and even yellow. One student Bella Puskar (11) shares her consensus on the trend: “I own 7 pairs of these popular Adidas shoes. I love wearing them to school, as they have so many different styles that go with any of my wanted looks. I can also dress them up or down and they keep me comfortable throughout the entire day.”
This popular brand is a recognizable staple in our student culture and gives students a way to embrace their personal fashion styles. While Adidas continues to set trends among the students of YLHS, it also solidifies its striking comeback in the broader market. Its diverse range of colors and styles has ultimately led the brand to have a widespread appeal, influencing a large population.

I love this article because I used to wear Adidas when they first came out in like 4th or 5th grade and I now wear them again since they made a comeback to fashion.
