All of these facets in place allow for a wide variation of aesthetics and styles as anyone with a form of social media can participate. One simple hashtag or mention can bring undisclosed items into the spotlight within hours.

Low-rise jeans, Adidas shoes, leopard print, pops of colors, and UGGs are some of the few items that have swarmed the internet as the new staples. Y2K delivers a colorful and accessory-filled vibe, while old money leans into a timeless style that combines neutrality and luxury. The coquette aesthetic revolves around a feminine look full of bows, soft colors, and laces, while streetwear owns the baggy and graphic look. The broad environment of fashion is endless and constantly evolving, offering a variety of ways one can express themselves.
TikTok star Demetra Dias has widely grown in popularity, her outfit ideas swirling across TikTok’s “For You Page.” Throughout her videos she shares her daily outfits, listing every item and their brand. Demetra has become a major influence on teenage girls, with her outfits adapting to seasonal styles. Her signature look revolves around low-rise jeans, Adidas Campus sneakers, and colorful strapless tops. Emma Guastaferro (11) adds that “Demetra’s style has influenced mine and several of my friends’ outfit looks. She has created a new sense of fashion amongst many people at YLHS.”
