Knott’s Scary Farm is notoriously one of the most looked forward to fully transformed amusement park events during the Halloween season. Not only is Knott’s known for their incredible rides and fun foods, it’s also known for their annual Scary Farm that brings in tens of thousands of visitors.  This year, Knott’s Scary Farm has been jam packed with teenagers and adults alike who are dying to experience the full array of what the park has to offer. Especially us teenagers from Yorba Linda High School who enjoy a small heart attack while being scared by the employees of the theme park who are dressed in costumes, masks, and makeup.

From the jump scares, to the rides, to the mazes, to the pumpkin painting, this Buena Park theme park has something for everyone.  “My favorite part of the night was probably getting chased by the clowns or painting our Halloween pumpkins in a shop by Ghost Town,” says Jessica Jones (10)

Notoriously, Knott’s Scary Farm is known for their horrifyingly fun and scary mazes. It’s been evident that these mazes attract just about everyone. Hundreds of people are found in the lines of the amusement-park turned horror land, waiting for the chance to walk through the new mazes.  Natasha El-Maissi (10), who just recently went to Knotts Scary Farm, goes into detail about the frightfully good maze known as ‘The Depths’, “My favorite maze was ‘The Depths’ because we looked like we were in the dark ocean or underwater and the decorations were really nice.”

“The best part of the night was definitely watching all of my friends get scared by the clowns and the people dressed up in costumes and makeup,” Sophie Johnson (10) shares.

Knott’s Scary Farm is open on select days and hours only. Days where the regular amusement park is turned into a thrill fest include all Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 pm- 2:00 am and all Thursdays and Sundays from 7:00 pm- 1:00 am. Knotts Scary Farm will continue to be open to the public until October 31, 2021 where it will then be packed up for next year’s Halloween season.

So whether it’s for the food or the frights, make sure to visit Knott’s Scary Farm at least once before Spooky Season comes to an end. It is a must to experience this Southern-California attraction with friends and create dozens of memories. Who doesn’t love a good scare? Here’s a happy start to the beginning of Spooky Season to all of the students and faculty members of Yorba Linda High School.
