The Endgame For Seniors
June 5, 2019
As the date of graduation nears for the class of 2019 Yorba Linda High School seniors, the ASB class and school have planned a series of fun activities to fill up the schedules before their last day as a high schooler. Here is a general plan out of the upcoming two weeks, as we say our goodbyes to the class of 2019.
The Week of 5/3 to 5/7
Monday, 5/3
Dress in your favorite outfit and take a picture with all your friends and favorite people at break and lunch! The flower wall will be set up, so you can ensure that your backdrop will be picture-worthy. There will be printouts of these photos at Senior Breakfast the following Monday!
Tuesday, 5/4
Tuesday is the day to bring out your toga costumes or your bed-sheets to celebrate Toga Tuesday. Wear any toga over your regular clothes, but be sure to know that the dress code will still apply.
Wednesday, 5/5
As we graduate from our alma mater, the home of mustangs, Wednesday will be dedicated to forever remember our Mustang Pride. To participate, wear any of your mustang gear or spirit wear. This will be the last pride day ever for seniors! Navy, crimson, silver pride for YL high.
Thursday, 5/6
Senior citizens dress up day is a tradition we have for Mustangs! Make sure to dress up as a grandpa or grandma and have fun seeing all your seniors truly looking like seniors for a day.
Friday, 5/7
LAST SCHOOL DAY FOR SENIORS! To celebrate our final high school day, dress in Hawaiian or summer attire. We will be having a luau picnic during lunch, so don’t forget to bring lunch, blankets, and more for our last lunch at school. Seniors will have a picnic-style lunch out at the quad, featuring a special hula performance by Mrs. St. Amant!
The Week of 5/10 to 5/12
Monday, 5/10
To start off our graduation week, Senior Breakfast will be happening from 9-11 AM at the Embassy Suites in Brea. The ASB senior officers have planned this event from a teacher speech to the senior gifts. Have breakfast, take pictures, and enjoy a casual day sitting with all your friends. The senior superlatives will also be announced here.
Later that day, pick up your cap and gown as well as your Disneyland tickets back at YLHS in the senior parking lot. The times will be from 1-2 PM. Don’t forget to turn in your yellow Code of Conduct Form.
Tuesday, 5/11
This day is all dedicated to fun: DISNEYLAND! Enjoy an all-day adventure at the happiest place on Earth celebrating your graduation alongside your friends. Go on rides, take pictures, and spend the last day ever as a high schooler.
Wednesday, 5/12
June 12th marks the end of a 4-year experience we will never forget. At 8 AM, a mandatory graduation practice will occur at Shapell Stadium, YLHS until 9:15 AM.
Return to school at 5 PM to get ready to walk the field for graduation. At 6 PM, graduation officially begins and will last until 7:15 PM.
If you are attending Grad Nite, come back to school at 9:30 PM in the YLHS gym. Grad Nite will end at 5 AM.
Congratulations graduates! Cheers to four years as a mustang and to the many more years full of happiness, success, and more congratulations that await you in the future.
