Celebrity gossip has been widely discussed for decades on decades with entire TV shows and magazines being dedicated to them. Recently, news about celebrities has began to spread at an even more of a rapid pace due to its content. Once a celebrity goes public with their relationship, immediately people begin to speculate and converse upon their behalf about their situation. The more people spread rumors, the quicker news is discovered as well, and with that, these celebrities are constantly being caught in their lies as well. This year, public figures such as Cardi B, Khloe Kardashian, and Millie Bobby Brown are all falling victim to these attacks that might be false or might have elements of truth in them.

Cardi B met her fiance Offset last year during the month of January and are now happily engaged with a child on the way. However, recent speculation and incriminating photos of Offset and another woman came out that seem quite suggestive. He was said to be the victim of an iCloud hacking that released these pictures unknowingly. “When this happened this shocked all her fans due to their loyalty to her,” states Polly Bowman (10). When Cardi was asked about this she went on to say, “I don’t have low self-esteem. I know I look good. I know I’m rich, I know I’m talented. I know I could get any man I want — any basketball player, football player…this is my life…I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision.” This quote does reference how she did take Offset back after these alleged rumors, as many other women have done in the past.

Such women include Khloe Kardashian who was also said to be cheated on by 27 year old Tristan Thompson. During this time, Khloe was also pregnant with her first child with Thompson. These rumors surfaced when she was said to be in the hospital where she was noted to want to only focus on her pregnancy during the time. Many of her family members are said to believe that she deserves much better than Tristan, however, she still decided to take him back. Khloe was quoted on saying, “[she] is not ready to give up on Tristan yet” (people.com).

Even celebrities as young as Millie Bobby Brown have experienced rumors and situations such as these in her relationships with Jacob Sartorius. After being accused of asking for pictures of other girls on Snapchat, rumors revolving around their relationship and how it may be ending soon began to surface. Instagram pictures on Millie’s page began to be deleted while they both had kept quiet on the subject to the press. Yet, she recently posted a picture of the two together happy in a relationship, with all comments disabled. The girls who had started this rumor on Twitter began to retract their statements saying how it was a joke, however many believe it still to be true and whether it is or not is still up in the air.

Constantly in the press celebrities are being followed and speculated about, however the coincidences between their encounters are plentiful. These relationships are not only highly debated, but their outcomes are also criticized by the media more times than not. Eventually, society will take sides in these debates and the aftermath of these allegations will be truly interesting.
