The only addition is that a lot of knowledge about the career you want to be in can also be gained. Essentially, your overall knowledge of a subject can be gained just by having an internship. Newfound knowledge gained from an internship can broaden a person’s understanding of potential careers, heighten chances of getting into a good college, and be useful in the future.

In general, not many people can say they’ve done an internship before which makes having one on a college application so valuable. By saying that you’ve had or currently have an internship, you increase your chances of getting into a college. In fact, some colleges can even overlook your grades if you have an amazing record of internships. They can act as a safety net if your grades aren’t the best.
As someone with an internship myself, I can definitely say that it has given me a lot of firsthand experience. I’ve had my internship for a couple weeks now, and yet I feel as if I have learned so much.
