It is no secret that Yorba Linda High School has highly qualified teachers who do marvelous jobs in offering their complete knowledge and full dedication to their students. The school’s prestige was acknowledged by being awarded the title of a gold ribbon school this past school year, and it was no doubt due to the excellence in staff that contributes to students’ education. To contribute to our unparalleled standards, this year our school is welcoming three new excellent teachers: Mrs. Ady, Ms. Waheed, and Ms.Bennet .

Mrs. Ady is a German teacher at YLHS and has previously worked out of state in St. Louis teaching German and French. When asked what she likes most of our school, she responded, “What don’t I like! The students are very enthusiastic [and] motivated, and most importantly, they enjoy learning.”

Having last worked for the California Virtual Academy, teaching in an actual school setting is a big change for Ms. Waheed, who is  currently teaching a course in business education and is working towards establishing a business pathway academy at YLHS, which she hopes will be ready for the 2016-2017 school year. She says she enjoys working at Yorba Linda High School due to its “great location, and warm support from students and staff.”

Ms. Bennet used to work in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She is currently teaching Geometry and Algebra One, and coaching water polo here at YLHS. One thing she says makes YLHS special is the “parent and teacher interaction” She values the effort parents show by communicating with her and being involved in their student’s education.

The extensive knowledge these teachers possess will make a great addition into the Mustang family. The year has already started off  on a high note for these teachers and will hopefully continue on that track throughout the year.
