On March 4th, Starbucks debuted its 2025 Spring menu representatives: The Iced Cherry Chai Latte, Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte, and Jalapeño Chicken Pocket.
Starbucks kicks off the Spring season with pastel tones, floral notes, and unique blends! Customers are delighted to welcome the company’s newest ingredients and compose an array of flavor combinations, putting a unique twist on some of our timeless favorites. In addition to its drink catalog, Starbucks spoils us with exclusive seasonal merchandise, including mugs, reusable cups, and insulated bottles. The business’s baked goods and savory foods also receive consistent praise from our YLHS students. Despite the Spring collection consisting of only one lunch item, the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket, there is no doubt that it will exceed the expectations of its hungry critics. On Tuesday, March 4th, Starbucks introduced the two beverage representatives of this year’s Spring selection:
1. Iced Cherry Chai Latte
The Iced Cherry Chai Latte adds a fruity twist to the company’s renowned Chai Latte. The beverage base is comprised of Starbucks’s classic black tea, infused with an abundance of cinnamon, combined with milk, and topped with ice. The finishing touch is added at the very end, ensuring that the beverage components remain separated and level. Starbucks’s Iced Cherry Chai Latte is completed with a pink, cherry cold foam and a sprinkle of cherry crunch topping (Starbucks). Sarah Kang (11) says, “The Chai Latte is my favorite beverage from Starbucks, and the cherry cold foam is a pleasant addition!”
2. Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha
We all know and love Starbucks’s matcha beverages, whether it be a frappuccino blend or steamed latte. The company recently transitioned to an unsweetened matcha powder to provide its customers with a smoother texture and the freedom to customize their drinks according to their sweetener preferences. The lavender powder made its debut last year at the very beginning of Spring and since then, fans have requested that it returns for the 2025 season. Starbucks’s classic matcha consists of its premium matcha powder that is shaken with oat milk and poured over ice. Then, the lavender cream cold foam is placed upon the drink, ensuring that the floral notes blossom effortlessly on your tastebuds to complement the matcha’s earthy tones (Starbucks). Dana Joo (11) says, “I have been a fan of the lavender series ever since it came out last year, and I’m so glad it’s back!”
Starbucks disposes of approximately 7 billion plastic cups worldwide every single year. In an attempt to reduce these statistics by at least 20%, the company designed and produced a new line of merchandise just in time for the Spring season (Starbucks). The hottest collection that has taken customers by storm is the Cherry Blossom Merchandise Collection. The 4 drinkware items display the iconic cherry blossom flowers and come in a variety of pink shades. Starbucks also offers patterned tumblers in yellows and blues, solid-colored pleated tumblers, pastel cold cups, pleated cold cups, airbrushed cups, and basic bottles. All merchandise retails for around $20-$35 depending on your store location.
