Seniors: UC School Decision Days

Melody Ra, Editor In Chief

After overcoming the rigorous, tedious process of completing the University of California College Applications in November, many seniors are anxious to discover whether they had gotten admitted into their dream school or not. Well, the month is now March, and many of the UC Schools release their acceptances during Mid-Late March.

However, many UC Schools first release their notifications for acceptance or denial on their portal, rather than directly e-mailing the decisions to the candidates. Sure, a letter will soon arrive in the mail, detailing one’s potential fate; yet, for those seniors who want the immediate response, look forward to these dates.

University of California San Diego: March 13, 2015

University of California Santa Barbara: March 13, 2015

University of California Irvine: March 18, 2015

University of California Los Angeles: March 20, 2015

University of California Berkely: March 26, 2015

University of California Merced, Davis, and Riverside have also released their admission decisions.

In order to access your Portal, simply go onto the school’s website (for which you are applying to), and follow its directions for accessing its Portal. Often times, you are required to register by logging your UC application ID. What is this? Well, after you complete you college applications for the UC schools, you will be able to see you ID at the very top of your application. It is advised that you print out a copy of your application, just in case you need that information for your Portal registration.

Your portal can also be used to contact the school. There is a tab labeled “Messages” where it is expected that you notify the schools that you applied to with any changes in you schedule (ex: dropping or adding a class), or any questions that you may have regarding the schools and their policies.

Now that college applications and notification decisions are almost finished, relax, and embrace your high school achievements with these upcoming acceptances!
